My research focuses on the ecology and molecular ecology of zooplankton communities in the western Arctic Ocean and the Gulf of Alaska. Specifically, my interests lie in assessing biodiversity using molecular techniques (i.e., metagenetics and metabarcoding) as well as DNA barcoding for species identification, population genetics, and population connectivity.
