Idaho National Lab Shares Student & Faculty Opportunities
ACEP has been working with and other on a range of workforce development initiatives.
Many ACEP students, researchers, and affiliates have completed internships at various
national labs over the past years. In 2014, three ACEP-affiliated UAF students interned
at INL where their work included the policy and technology aspects of nuclear microreactors.
They benefited significantly from the experience in preparation for their respective
careers in Alaska's energy sectors.
On September 17-18, ACEP coordinated several meetings between INL鈥檚 Delisa Rogers
and Steven Aumeier with Alaska stakeholders in Anchorage and Fairbanks to discuss
the latest round of university engagement opportunities.
are available to both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens and span a range of academic disciplines
(business as well as science and engineering), with options that include academic
settings from first-year to postdoctorate.
Rogers and Aumeier were in Fairbanks to participate in the and received many inquiries from interested students. Additional information on these
opportunities is available at or by contacting George Roe.
