REAP is a nonprofit coalition of over 80 diverse energy stakeholder organizations. It has worked to increase renewable energy production and promote energy efficiency across Alaska since 2004. REAP’s work has been instrumental in establishing clean energy policy and programs in Alaska, including the creation of the state’s Renewable Energy Grant Fund in 2008 and Emerging Energy Technology Fund in 2010, and passage of Alaska’s Property Assessed Clean Energy Act in 2017.
During this webinar, Chris will share lesson from these endeavors, inspirations from initiatives in other regions and the possible future direction of Alaska’s own energy journey. Policy can enable or inhibit communities in their pursuit of a more sustainable energy future.
