2014 Alaska Rural Energy Conference Speaker Highlight:  AlexAnna Salmon, President and Acting Administrator, Village of Igiugig Tribal Council

This week we are pleased to present AlexAnna Salmon in our Conference Speaker Highlight. 

AlexAnna Salmon was raised in the Village of Igiugig. She is the granddaughter of Jon and Mary Olympic, and the second oldest of Dan and Julia Salmon. In 2008, she graduated from Dartmouth College with a dual Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Native American Studies and Anthropology and returned to work for the Igiugig Tribal Village Council as President and Acting Administrator. She also serves as a member of the Igiugig Native Corporation board, recently on the Lake and Peninsula Borough Planning Commission, and manages the family transportation business.
